I made a point of numbering all my documents by order of their place in the quality manual. For example, Section 8 is Vehicle Management and the first document in this chapter is the Company Vehicle Policy. Thus Doc 8.1- Company Vehicle Policy, 8.2- Vehicle Cleaning Procedure etc.... Auditors enjoy this way of doing things as they can say "can I see your policy on cleaning vehicles" and you can find it within seconds. Ultimately this is YOUR numbering system so doing it in a way that enables you to understand it clearly is the most important thing.
In addition to bringing in new customers through various forms of advertisement, your company can also reach its full potential by encouraging existing customers to return for additional services. Establish a unique branding design and then print your messaging on a range of products that are sure to keep your most loyal clients on board for future business interactions.
Select the Text Tool (T) and start dragging a text box that will wrap around the whole ticket including the crop marks. This is very important since the Data Merge will automatically calculate the duplication. Then open up the Text Frame Option (Command + B) and set the Inset spacing to 1p4 for the top and 1p8 for the left. Of course, you can place the text for the numbers anywhere you like. I set the numbers to a small text.
Sequential numbers can be printed almost anywhere on a sheet or form and can be positioned horizontally or vertically. Numbers can also be repeated in another position on the form. When developing your artwork, consider putting a box for numbering, making it easier for your customers or employees to find and reference a specific job or transaction. You may also differentiate your number by color. Most printers allow a choice of colors, typically black or red, to make your number stand out. Start your sequencing at any point you like, to pick up where you left off on your last print order.
Give your brand, your sponsors brand or your advertising a boost with custom Tickets from Admit One Products. You'll get maximum exposure when your organization's logo or slogan is displayed on the front or back of your ticket as customers purchase and hold their tickets. Often tickets are kept as keepsakes and mementos for years to come and end up in scrap books to remember the great time they had at an event.
I am creating a file in inDesign for a client that is asking for numbered tickets. They'd like to be able to print a specific number for each ticket. I've read some of the older answers for similar questions that refer to Data Merge, but I'd prefer not to take that route if avoidable. What I'd ultimately like to do is create a space for the numbers to go, select the number of pages within the Print menu, and have the spaces populate with the corresponding numbers while printing.

Thank you for your reply.  It reassured me that I was on the right path. From having read other Help texts, I guessed that I would have to use good ole mail-merge and set up a numbers list in Excel. Luckily my knowledge of Excel was good enough to know about the drag&drop for sequential immediate numbering. When it came to the crunch, it was this particular type of mail merge which gave me a bit of initial difficulty. Despite my having used it happily and often in Word, for labels in Publisher, it was - not surprisingly - different in certain respects; principally the crucial point of the Print stage, which necessitated finding the option Publications & Paper Settings, and selecting 2 specific parameters, namely (1) Multiple pages per sheet,  (2) Single-sided printing (my default double printing had appeared). Once I'd sussed this, it was plain sailing.  Thanks again.

You don’t have to be a born salesperson to move all your tickets, but the better your sales tactics, the more successful you’ll probably be. Peter Kajanzy teaches how to crush a sale with pro techniques. One bit of advice he offers: When people ask for the price, instead of doing a complex breakdown of one for $2, three for $5, and so on, go straight to “You can buy five tickets for $8.”
1. On the first hand, you need to initiate Microsoft Publisher. You can view a magnifying glass icon and you need to hit inside the little field which shows Available Templates page. Now you should type the Word ‘tickets’ and move your cursor towards the magnifying glass icon. Hit on it. Subsequently you need to evaluate and assess the ticket options in the Microsoft Publisher. After that you can double click on the desired template. For example if you want to open the raffle ticket template just double click on it for the Publisher to open it for you.
If you are not using document numbers then when you name a document or a file think about its name carefully. Computers generally order files alphabetically so if you are careful you can ensure that the right documents are side by side in a file listing. For instance don’t use the names Audit Report and Schedule of Audits, rather use Audit Report and Audit Schedule so that these related documents appear next to each other in a folder listing.
In the example I explained, I was using a list, but did it with un-linked text boxes using “continue from previous number” and “continue numbers across stories.” I’m guessing that there is no way to tell InDesign that even though there are 4 text boxes on the page, that there are two different lists? I’d probably have to just create two threaded stories for that scenario to work.

You probably know about Word's mail merge feature, and you might even use it to print labels or other documents, where some of the information changes (such as form letters). You can use the same feature with Publisher. Although you might not think of Publisher as an Office app, it comes with several different versions of Office. In this article, I'll show you how to print sequentially numbered tickets using Publisher and Excel. This article provides instructions for Publisher 2007, 2010, and 2013.
Versions control numbers are not mandatory. They can be assigned when adding a document or checking in a document and can be modified, separately for each document version, at any time. By default the version number is carried over from the last version when document is checked in. Version numbers don’t have to be unique. A version control field can have an optional prefix, but it doesn’t have to be unique. business form numbering
