There is also provision that is available in the Title Block where all the three numbers can be specified and hence, each of the agencies involved in the project can track the documents with respect to their own document numbers. The sole purpose of the document number is to uniquely identify the document and as long as this objective is fulfilled the said numbering system is considered as OK for the project.

The document management software automatically assigns a unique number to every single document that is added to FileHold. This number called the FileHold ID Number, it can not be edited by users and is never duplicated in the system. This document numbering can not be turned off. This unique document number is a simple sequential number that starts at number 1 and grows sequential with every new document added to FileHold. In the case of a different version of the same document the number is incremented by a decimal number to indicate a new version. (i.e. A new document added to FileHold may get number 403. If that document is checked out and changed and than checked back in it would get the unique number 403.1. If it is checked out and changed again it would be numbered 403.2 and so forth).

If you are a tax professional and cannot remember your CAF number, you may call the Practitioner Priority Service, otherwise known as PPS.  PPS may be reached at (866) 860-4259.  To obtain or hear instructions on how to retrieve a lost or forgotten CAF number, you must first choose from the initial prompts. Choose either Individual accounts (IMF) or Business accounts (BMF). Once you provide your authenticating information, they can verbally give it to you over the phone. If PPS is unable to authenticate you as the owner of the CAF number then PPS will mail the number to the CAF address of record.
I had wanted to create a file that didn't require Excel as the data source, so I created one using SEQ fields. It was terrible and too huge to mention (thanks Doug Robbins), so I recreated it using Word as the data source so that people who only have Word can use it. I am getting my tickets to number on one side of it. However, I am needing my tickets to have the number on each side, but one side will not number. I have tried several times and it will not number on both sides. I am using an avery template that is printing 10 tickets per page, stub and tearable ticket. But the stub will not number while the tearable ticket will.
Change all other existing text to reflect the correct date and prizes by highlighting the words and either editing or deleting the existing text. Font size and style can be adjusted using the font toolbar above the document. Images can be added by using the Insert menu in the toolbar and following the same process as inserting images to a Word document.

Our documents are given control numbers based on function category: what part of production they are related to. Select the Text Tool (T) and start dragging a text box that will wrap around the whole ticket including the crop marks. This is very important since the Data Merge will automatically calculate the duplication. Then open up the Text Frame Option (Command + B) and set the Inset spacing to 1p4 for the top and 1p8 for the left. Of course, you can place the text for the numbers anywhere you like. I set the numbers to a small text.
